Thanks for visiting my website! My name is Elizabeth (Lizzie) Schafer and I was born and raised on a grain and livestock farm. From a young age, every aspect of journalism has commanded my attention. After being involved with the school journalism department for five years, I found my way to the Taylorville High School TommyTV program where I found my true calling as an editor and co-anchor. This opportunity allowed me to interview several national and state icons including National FFA President Cole Baerlocher, Illinois Governor Candidate and Aurora Mayor Richard Irvin, former Illinois State Representative Avery Bourne, and several coaches during the heat of a game. After creating a video for a nineteen-year-old farm boy that captured international attention, I learned that creating videos and advertisements can truly make a difference and knew that marketing and promotion is where I wanted to direct my attention. Taking these experiences, I transferred to Butler Community College in El Dorado, KS where I spent my freshman year in the college marketing department editing videos and interviewing college representatives to promote the college through television commercials. Sophomore year, I worked as the anchor for Buco Nation Update where I presented weekly news reports for the college and town. Currently, I am a senior at Kansas State University where I am majoring in Agriculture Communications and Animal Science. Most importantly, I work for Kansas State HD.TV as a videographer and editor. I am responsible for promoting all Kansas State Sports and I serve as the official videographer for the Kansas State Rowing Team. In addition, I work alongside FOX Sports and ESPN to showcase Kansas State sports games throughout the United States.
